Network Marketing Success - Be Patient

I have a question for you. Are you in network marketing? Do you have patience? Do you trust the process? Are you building your business? Are you in a hurry? Are you trying to get rich quick? My advice to you is, "be patient".

Many people get into this business with a sort of a hype, "This product just sells itself. Just go show all of you friends and relatives. They're going to love it. They're going to want to sign up. They're going to want to get involved with you. You're all going to make money. You're going to get rich quick." That is not true. None of it is true. You must be patient to build this business. There are no "get rich quick" schemes.

Eight out or ten people are going to say no. Maybe nine out of ten are going to say no. You've already found that out. This isn't a get rich quick scheme. You're asking people to get involved with you to get in business with you. It takes time. It takes an average of five to seven exposures before somebody says yes. Let that sink in, an average of five to seven exposures before somebody says yes.

People are skeptical at first. They take time to warm up to the idea of getting involved and you have to nurture and develop the relationship. Even then many people will simply say, "No". Expect that and once again, learn to trust the process to weed out the naysayers from the action takers.

How do you win at this game? You do all of the things that I've talked about in many previous blog posts, articles and videos. You sincerely care about the people. You learn about them. You learn what's important for them. You help them to get what they want. You stay in touch with them. You become their friend. In that process, you be patient and you trust the entire process of network marketing to work for you. It may sound like a lot of work, and it is, but the reality is that's the way it works. You stay in touch with people. You try to find ways to help people. You be of service to people. You put value out there. You provide leadership, and you let them come to you when the time is right for them.

MLM Success in 10 Easy Steps

Success is not primarily about the company you join or it's products. Success is mainly about YOU! Focusing on yourself, to be the best you can be, and sharing your expertise with others... that is the key to success. Here are 10 easy steps that you can do that will assure your success as a team leader in your multilevel marketing business.

Focus On ONE Achievement At A Time!

Have you ever seen a doctor decide to also be a lawyer or a dentist at the same time? Does it work? So, what example are you setting for your team members if you spread your efforts over a wide variety of things? Do you want them to be laser-focused on your business? Remember, what you do, they will do also.

Always Be Involved In The Money-Making Activities!

If you're not making money, you are not in business! If you're spending more time commenting on Facebook and Google+ than you are speaking to leads and helping your downline members, you're not focusing on the activities that really make you money. Look at everything you do during the day and be aware of what your real Income Producing Activities are. Make sure you spend most of your time on those!

Get Out Your Magnifying Glass And Scrutinize!

Scrutinize the systems, the structure, the process and the steps you need to take to get where you want to go. Analyze your business, and study your analysis hard. Recognize, honestly, what is working for you and what is not. Then fix or trash the things that aren't working. Look closely at where you are and where you want to go. If you don't know those two things, then getting anywhere is impossible.

Its All About Team Work!

Are you taking action to facilitate growth within your organization? This is a huge responsibility that every leader must assume. No sheep flock has ever been led by a sloth! You must set the example. No matter which MLM company you represent, it's easier and more effective to have a small group where everyone is productive than a large one filled with non-productive distributors. As the team leader, it's your responsibility to help your team members become successful, so make sure you know how to coach them, you're available to them, and that you spend the time required to really build your team!

Always Keep An Eye On Your Downline!

Your downline is where the money is made. This is not a one man show. Without continual support from you, "the fearless leader" your team will crash and burn. The first thing you want to teach your members is that they are free to contact you when they need you. But, it's your responsibility to keep "up to speed" on what your members are doing. You should know when they need you before they call. Keep your eye on their production, their attendance at meetings, etc. When someone "disappears" for a few days or a week, you should know you need to swing into action and help them.

Keep Your Life Clutter Free!

Clutter in your life... physical, emotional, or in your schedule... leads to nothing but distraction. And we know distraction is the Business Killer. You need to recognize if you simply have too much going on to concentrate properly. What can you temporarily give up? You may need to set aside some of your pursuits in order to have time to build your business and support your team.

Get Out Your Calendar!

Time management is key here. Make a daily planner and stick to it. Put your "comfie" chair in the basement for six months. You need to fit your activities to your goals, and be there when you say you're going to be there. You need to make every appointment, phone call, and presentation you say you're going to make. Every successful business person has an extensive calendar and operates from a daily check list.

"Par Excellence" Is Your Standard!

You set the standard for your team and for your business. If you aren't operating "up to par" your business won't either. You certainly can't expect your team members to maintain a higher standard of performance than you do, so make sure you're operating at your optimal level. Remember you are the Leader and if your members do not perform in a superior fashion, this is a refection on You, not them.

Oscar Night!

You always catch more flies with honey, and you'll always get more performance out of any team if you throw them some honey once in a while! Commend and reward those who are working hard to succeed. Make them feel proud of their accomplishments, no matter how small. And do it publicly... where your other team members can see. Everyone enjoys a little public back patting, and when you do something along these lines you help create happy partners and give your team members something to work for and look forward to.

Acceleration And Velocity!

"Momentum" is another term for this. Momentum occurs only when your team is inspired and confident in what they are doing. You need to instill those qualities into your team. If you are not leading they cannot follow!

Success in your MLM business is not complicated or even very difficult. If you notice, most of these 10 items revolve around your personal work habits and how you work help your team. If you follow these 10 precepts and keep your eye on the ball, you'll find that MLM success is not out of reach at all. In fact, it's quite possible for anyone willing to work hard, stay focused on money making activities, and coach their team members to do the same.
